| Job Description: |
Must have 2 years recent experience using QuickBooks.
Manage and coordinate all financial information for operating and investment accounts, as well as donation of time and materials.
Full charge bookkeeperprocess accounts payables and receivables, deposit funds, and make journal entries. Maintain and reconcile petty cash for the office. Respond to payroll inquiries. Verify employment. Respond to unemployment inquiries. Work closely with bank to ensure accounts are managed properly. Maintain accurate information on investment accounts. Process donations, which include credit card transactions. Mail donor receipts and respond to donor inquiries. Prepare donor labels for mass mailings. Prepare regular reports on large-giving donors for staff to contact.
Prepare/print financial reports, e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet, budgets, cash flow statements, etc. Coordinate year end returns with tax accountants and auditors. Ensure/complete process to maintain tax exempt status for corporate matters and properties. File annual reports with local governments as needed. Research and evaluate cost effective employee benefit plans, i.e., health insurance, retirement, short-term/long-term disability.
Responsible for financial information needed for grants. Initiate letters and correspondences to donors, e.g., acknowledgement of gifts, pledges, or inquiries, year-end tax information, etc.
In addition, will assist with office management or website management.
